Mid Valley City

Mid Valley City

Mid Valley City is a mixed development project in Kuala Lumpur that has become an iconic landmark in retail, dining, entertainment, business and hospitality.

This 50-acre site, situated along the Klang River is home to Mid Valley Megamall, Menara IGB, Cititel, The Boulevard Hotel, The Boulevard Office, Centrepoint, The Gardens and Northpoint.

Mid Valley Megamall, one of Asia’s largest and busiest retail centres has over 430 retail outlets, themed restaurants, cafes, entertainment outlets and 48,300 sq ft of exhibition space at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre. The mall also houses four anchors: Metrojaya, Jusco, Carrefour and the Golden Screen Cinemas.

Situated at the southern end of Mid Valley City, Menara IGB stands at 27-storey high with a floor area totaling up to 212,000 sq ft and floor plate of 13,000 sq f. It is fully tenanted by corporate offices, large sized corporations and multi-national companies such as Volvo, Panasonic Industry Co and advertising firm Bates. Occupants are provided with a free shuttle bus service to Bangsar LRT.

The 646-room Cititel Mid Valley is a popular hotel among tourists who want to stay in a fairly comfortable hotel adjacent to one of Asia's most vibrant shopping malls.

The Boulevard Office consists of 4 blocks - each one is 11-storey high. The blocks are nestled between Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens shopping mall. The street-level units are mostly occupied by health and beauty centres.

Boulevard Hotel provides instant access to the KTM Komuter station which is right at its doorstep. The 390 rooms are fully ported and equipped with wireless connectivity making it a favourite among business and leisure travelers.

Centrepoint, located next to Menara IGB in Mid Valley consists of two commercial towers, offering office space for rental ranging from 700 to 1,350 sq ft for boutique spaces (north tower) and corporate office of 3,000 to 13,000 sq ft (south tower).

The Gardens is a 9.7 acre development within Mid Valley City that consists of a high-end shopping gallery, two office towers, 5-star Gardens Residences and 5-star Gardens Hotel.

Situated at the north entrance to Mid Valley City, Northpoint comprises of two towers with 204 office suites and 288 residential units. Occupants have easy access to a variety of cafes, restaurants and marts located on the ground floor. A pedestrian bridge links Northpoint to the Boulevard Hotel, Mid Valley Megamall and the Gardens.

This self contained city has Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) as its local authority.

Mid Valley City is developed by IGB Corporation Berhad, a property and investment holding company listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, the Malaysian Stock Exchange.

Unsurpassed location

This ‘City in a City’ enjoys prime location that is conveniently accessible from all corners of the Klang Valley. Bangsar, Seputeh, Taman Desa, Brickfields are Mid Valley City’s immediate neighbours.

It takes about five to ten minutes to get to KL Sentral by car and less than an hour to get to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur and University Malaya Medical Centre are both just a few minutes’ drive away. Pantai and Taman Desa fire stations are also located nearby.

Residents and office workers of Mid Valley City can always head to Bangsar or Taman Desa for local and international cuisine if they ever tire of the selection within the development itself.

Accessibility

The convergence of major highways, namely Federal Highway, KL Seremban Expressway, New Pantai Expressway, and Kerinchi Link only enhances Mid Valley City’s location.

A KTM Komuter station connects directly to Mid Valley Megamall. The nearest RapidKL LRT station is Abdullah Hukum but you can also stop at Universiti or Bangsar and grab a bus or taxi to get to Mid Valley City. Subject to government’s approval, the developer plans to build a link bridge connecting the Gardens shopping mall to Abdullah Hukum LRT station.

Buses either stop right in front of Mid Valley Megamall’s entrance or by the side of the road on Federal Highway.

Even with all the public transportation serving the area, parking and traffic around Mid Valley City are a nightmare, especially on weekends. Some visitors have resorted to parking along the sides of the road, further worsening the internal traffic flow.

Business Hub

As a business hub, Mid Valley City has served many occupants including, IGB Corporation Berhad, Mid Valley City Sdn Bhd, Rating Agency Malaysia Berhad (RAM), The Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA), Wah Seong Corporation Berhad, Volvo Car Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Panasonic Industrial Company (M) Sdn Bhd and banks such as Maybank Berhad, Alliance Bank Berhad, RHB Bank Berhad and Bumiputra-Commerce Berhad.

MSC Status

Mid Valley City received MSC Malaysia Cyber centre status in September 2008 under the MSC Malaysia National Roll-Out plan. Approximately RM15 mil was spent to enable fibre-optic connectivity throughout the mixed development hub. Offices in the development offers competitive date center rates and high speed broadband access.
