Residents of Mont’Kiara will now get to enjoy the use of a free community bus service provided by developer Sunrise Berhad. The service which is dubbed as the Sunrise Community Fun Ride covers the Mont’Kiara vicinity and its key commercial developments of Plaza Mont’Kiara, Solaris Mont’Kiara and Solaris Dutamas.

Minister of Federal Territories YB Senator Dato’ Raja Nong Chik bin Dato’ Raja Zainal Abidin launched the service at the Sunrise Fun Zone Community Centre.

"We hope that all residents of Sunrise Mont’Kiara will avail themselves of this alternative transportation service. By providing essential links, the shuttle service will be an invaluable means of transport for our residents who are predominantly expatriate families,” said Dato’ Allan Lim, Executive Deputy Chairman of Sunrise Bhd.

“Our commitment is to develop this community and enhance conveniences for our residents," he added.

The 22-seater bus service runs from 10am to 8pm on Monday through Saturday and has 12 scheduled stops leading to key places like shopping, restaurants, medical centre as well as residences. Furthermore, the bus is equipped with an engine that has low carbon emissions to reduce the impact on the environment.
