Nexus World-School and Putrajaya Holdings
Sdn Bhd (PJH), the developer and owner of the school’s campus, has
entered into an agreement for Nexus World-School to build a
new boarding house within the school’s grounds. Construction is
expected to complete by 2011.
Principal of Nexus World-School, Dr Stuart Martin said, “The essence of the boarding
house is to enhance the diversity of the school and create a truly unique experience of learners, as
Nexus World-School is situated at the heart of the diplomatic enclave of Putrajaya.
“Learners here are provided with top-notch education and they would soon have
access to the experience of living on-campus in a pastoral environment designed with a ‘home away from
home’ concept.”
The new six-storey boarding house will have the capacity to house 140 boarders
and pastoral care will be provided by house-parents comprising of expatriate teaching staff residing
in the same boarding house. There will be a total of five house-parents for 140 boarders.
Chief executive officer of PJH said, “The addition of the Nexus boarding house will be another
integral development to enhance the diversity of the Putrajaya area, especially the diplomatic
enclave where the school is located. It will draw in more foreign investors and expatriates to
the area, especially with the new boarding house, apart from providing the very best in
international education to learners.”
Nexus World-School is the first and only international school in Putrajaya
offering both Early Years, Primary and Secondary curriculums.
