CIMB Bank targets to add an additional RM3 billion to the RM2.5 billion deposits achieved so far for the first 8 months of this year, adding a total of RM5.5 billion or 15% to the RM38 billion comprising their current total retail base, said Peter England, Head of Retail Banking. The bank hopes to do this through the newly launched “2 Good 2 Be True” campaign, a major deposit drive that rewards customers the chance to win two of each attractive prize on offer.
The campaign, launched by Dato’ Sri Nazir Razak, group chief executive, CIMB Group, runs from 20 September to 31 December 2010. It offers new and existing CIMB Bank and CIMB Islamic individual depositors the chance to win prizes worth more than RM2.4 million in total via weekly, monthly and grand draws. 10 weekly prize winners will win electronic gadgets such as cameras, Blackberries and netbooks, while one monthly prize winner will walk away with two Peugeot 308s worth RM99,888 each, alongside five other monthly winners of two holiday vouchers each, worth RM10,000 per voucher. Ultimately, the campaign concludes with a grand draw where a depositor will be a proud owner of two luxurious condominium units in Subang Jaya, Selangor worth more than RM545,000 each.
