With iPhone becoming ubiquitous and iPhone apps being downloaded in the thousands on a daily basis, it comes as no surprise that the real estate industry will eventually join the bandwagon. In Malaysia, one of the few real estate agencies which has adopted this is MetroHomes Malaysia which developed its own iPhone real estate app recently. The app allows property search and listings to be done on the go which is a great help for agents who are constantly out in the field. Since its recent launch, it has been steadily gaining a following. Earlier last year, iProperty.com foresaw the trend and developed its own iPhone real estate app. It proved to be a hit and to date, there are over 50,000 iPhone app downloads. Following the successful iPhone app launch, the popular property portal in Malaysia launched another app – this time for the iPad. Again, it proved a hit. With iPad 2 hitting Malaysian shores soon, it is predicted that the app will see a spike in downloads in the coming months as more people own it.
