Viva Home is expecting a 90% occupancy rate in time of its grand launch on 18 and 19 June, said Carrie Kon, assistant general manager of Viva Mall Sdn Bhd, developer and operator of Viva Home.
It opened last month with an occupancy rate of 65% with more retailers opening on a daily basis.
The mall, located on Jalan Loke Yew, is dedicated entirely to the retail of home-related products and services, complemented by a range of lifestyle and entertainment outlets.
Targeted at middle to higher income shoppers, Viva Home has a variety of well-known brands including Lorenzo, Star Living, Bina Warehouse, Kitchmate, Home’s Harmony, Getha, Vilano and Cosway to name a few.
Anchor tenants include Giant Superstore and MBO Cinema.
An approximately 55,000 sq ft expo hall located on the second floor makes an ideal venue for large home-related exhibitions or smaller, specialists shows.
Viva Home is part of 2-phase mixed development with its second phase featuring a 260-room four-star hotel tower above the retail mall.
The hotel is expected to open by the end of next year.
Viva Mall Sdn Bhd is a part of an expanding group of companies under Kha Seng Corporation Sdn Bhd.
Kha Seng is also the developer of Kenanga Wholesale City, a fashion wholesale centre due to open in the second half of 2011.
