Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd has issued the letter of award to CMC-Colas-Uniway (CCU) to undertake works on the Kelana Jaya Line extension project worth RM673.920 million.

In a statement today, Prasarana said the job entailed the engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning of system works for the project.

It said the line would be extended from Kelana Jaya station by another 17 km and reach up to Putra Heights through 13 new stations.

The light rail transit extension project was announced in Budget 2009 and undertaken to improve the efficiency of the public transportation in the Klang Valley. - Bernama
