Kuala Lumpur, 08 November 2011 – Sunrise Berhad (“Sunrise”), a wholly-owned subsidiary
of Malaysia’s preferred partner in nation-building UEM Land Holdings Berhad (“UEM Land”),
today unveiled the design for its landmark project Angkasa Raya located in the heart of
Kuala Lumpur, the economic powerhouse of Malaysia. The integrated mixed-use project,
designed by renowned architect Ole Scheeren, will be a world-class building representing
the future vision of Kuala Lumpur as a leading Southeast Asian city.

background. The new Angkasa Raya, which occupies the space of the former Bangunan Angkasa Raya, is
expected to be completed in 2016, and will be a prominent addition to Kuala Lumpur’s
skyline.
The landmark tower will comprise premium office spaces, over 280 service
residences, a luxury hotel with 200+ five-star suites, three sky levels as well as a multitude
of signature retail spaces. Angkasa Raya will strike a dramatic balance with its neighbouring
iconic Petronas Twin Towers.
At the unveiling, Datuk Tong Kooi Ong, Chairman of Sunrise, said: “As an innovative
