In the last issue, you have learnt a little more about Flying Star Feng Shui. Now let’s go deeper into the art of practising Flying Star Feng Shui.
In Part 1, we have mentioned Mountain Star, Water Star, Base Star and Annual Star. Now let us superimpose these stars into place. We normally divide each property into nine equal grids, using the length of the front section of the property divided into three equal sectors and then using the length of the side divided by three. Finally we will have a rectangular table that covers the whole property, with nine grids inside.
We then place the Mountain Star (M) at the top left corner of the grid, Water Star (W) at the top right corner, Base Star (B) in the centre and Annual Star (A) at the bottom right corner. So a typical grid looks like this:

A typical Flying Star Natal Chart looks like the following:

The above is a Period 8, S2-Facing Flying Star Natal Chart. You can see that each grid represents one sector of the house. Now let’s look at the South sector. The Mountain Star is auspicious Star 8; this means that there are good human relationships in this sector. The Water Star is Star 8. This is a Wealth Star, thus this will be the Wealth Spot of the property. Having a Wealth Spot at the Facing Palace is a very auspicious arrangement. The Base Star, which is a Star 3, will reduce the effect of the good Mountain Star/Water Star Combination; but it will not make too much difference. Thus this property will enjoy very good Wealth Luck as well as good human relationship luck in the Facing Palace. In normal double houses in Malaysia, the Facing Palace is normally where the Living Hall is located on the ground floor and the Master Bedroom on the first floor. Thus if the garden in front can accommodate a fish pond or waterfall, this brings tremendous Wealth Luck to the house.
It is very important not just to look at the good sector; we also need to pay attention to the bad sector. Now, let’s look at the NW sector. You can see that the Mountain Star is Star 5 and the Water Star is Star 2. Remember that these two are bad stars. Star 5 will bring misfortune, accident and severe illness. As a Mountain Star, it will affect those who are staying in this sector. Star 2, the illness star, is a Water Star, thus bringing loss of wealth. The combination of these two stars will cause fatal illness. This is something that we must be aware of. Especially in a typical double-storey terrace house in Malaysia, this will be the bedroom on the first floor at the Bad Sector of the house. If we do not overcome this affliction, the severe illness that could be fatal will happen in the month where the month star is also either a Star 2 or Star 5.
You can see that the Good Sectors; SE, S, SW and W are all located at the front of the house, while the Bad Sectors are all located at the back of the house. So important places like the Living Hall, Dining Hall and Master Bedroom would be located in the Auspicious Sectors, while the kitchen and toilet would be located at the Bad Sectors. This is the arrangement that we should be looking for.
Now let us look at the Flying Star Natal Chart for an S1-facing property:

From the above chart, you can see that the auspicious “double 8” sector is located at the North; which happens to be at the back of the property. Most of the double-storey terrace houses in Malaysia will have the toilet located at this sector. When you have the Wealth Spot of the house located in the toilet, you will be sure that Wealth Luck will not be good in this house. This is because all the Wealth Luck will be flushed away in the toilet.
To make things worse, the Bad Sectors such as SE, S, SW and W are all located at the front of the house, where the Living Hall, Dining Hall and Master Bedroom are. You see, the house already has no wealth but to make it worse, the important sectors are the Bad Sectors that will bring severe, possibly fatal, illnesses. If you are living in this house, your luck will definitely be very bad.
The above example is to show you that even if they face the same direction, the luck of these two properties is totally different. So when you are choosing a property, it is not enough just to say that you want a South-facing property. You should be very specific that what you want is a South 2-facing property.
Just to add for those seeking Semi-Detached or Bungalow houses, it is also important for you to see whether the garden is on the left or the right of the house. Again there is a difference in terms of the Wealth Luck of the property that has a garden on the left vs. on the right.
Let’s use the same example above. For the S2-facing house, the SW sector has Star 1 as a Mountain Star and Star 6 as a Water Star. This again is an auspicious sector that will bring tremendous Wealth Luck as well as Family Luck. If you have a garden in this sector, it will be very auspicious to have a fish pond in the sector. This is because Star 6 as a Water Star will also bring Wealth Luck. Moreover the SW is the direction of the Indirect Spirit of Period 8. It is said that if you have water at the Indirect Spirit sector, it will bring you tremendous Wealth Luck. So having a fish pond at the SW will be very auspicious.
Now the West sector also has the auspicious Mountain and Water Stars. Water Star 1 will bring Wealth Luck if it is activated with moving water. If you have a garden on the right, you will have space to build a fish pond or a water feature here to enhance the Wealth Luck. Moreover, the Dining Hall is likely to be located in this sector, thus it would be even more auspicious to have the Dining hall in the Auspicious Sector.
So if it is a S2-facing semi-D house and the garden is located on the right (inside looking out); you will enjoy more Wealth Luck than your next-door neighbour.
When we are choosing the property, it is important for us to know which sectors are auspicious and which sectors are inauspicious. It is important to have the Living Hall, Dining Hall and the Master Bedroom located in the auspicious sector and the kitchen, toilet and store room in the inauspicious sector.
In the next issue, I will be sharing with you the auspicious sectors and inauspicious sectors for all the 16 types of Flying Star Chart.
