IJM Corp Bhd's pre-tax profit for the third quarter (Q3) ended Dec 31, 2011, rose to RM247.7 million from RM219.9 million in the same period previously.

Revenue increased to RM1.172 billion from RM901.3 million before.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, IJM Corp said the better performance was mainly attributed to the growth recorded by all its operating divisions.

"The construction division is expected to improve as many of our local projects are seen to gain momentum in the current financial year. We expect our property division to sustain due to strong unbilled sales of about RM1 billion," it said.

On prospects, IJM Corp said it expects to achieve a satisfactory performance for the current fiscal year. -- BERNAMA
