Outlook for 2009, Part II
This
month, I would like to use Flying Star analysis to talk about luck in
each sector of 2009. Flying Star analysis is ideal for looking into the
luck of the eight sectors. It could be used to determine good and bad
directions, and also to tell us how to enhance good luck.
The following is the annual Flying Star chart for 2009.

If
you have this series, you would know that there are good and bad stars.
The directions in blue constitute good sectors while the red,
naturally, represents the bad sectors.
The
most important thing in this analysis is the centre grid. For 2009,
Purple Star Nine is located in the centre, and as mentioned before it
could be a good or bad star.
Star
Nine could bring about good news, prosperity and happiness. On the
other hand, it could also cause illness and be a bearer of bad news.
What I am going to share with you next is for houses that have good
Mountain Star and Water Star in the Centre Sector. Houses that have bad
star combinations in this sector ((like Period Seven or east, west,
south and north-facing houses) should enhance the Centre Sector in 2009.
For
houses that have good star combinations in the Centre Sector, Purple
Star Nine will bring good luck if you are able to activate the star.
What can you do?
Purple
Star Nine is the only star that is Fire in element. In order to
activate this star, you would need to place Fire and Wood Energy in the
Centre Sector of the house. You could place red décor in the middle
like a rug or a flower vase with red flowers on a console table in the
Centre Sector. You could also place red candles in the middle of the
dining or coffee table in the living hall. Indeed, the centre of any
sector is fine. Naturally, the best would be the centre of the house.
The
Best Sector is the south-east. This is because Wealth Star Eight is
located in the south-east for 2009. This is very auspicious as
south-east is also the Wealth Sector under the Eight Aspiration Feng
Shui. Houses that have the Wealth Spot in the south-east could bring
about tremendous Wealth Luck in 2009. You must activate the Wealth Spot
with a water feature; the best is to build a fish pond or just a pond
in the south-east sector.
For
those whose south-east sector is not a Wealth Spot, you could place
lots of water plants in this area to enhance your Wealth Luck. This is
because the south-east is the wood sector, so placing a water element
or plants would enhance it and bring wealth luck to you.
The
other good sector is the south-west. Heaven Star Six is in the
south-west for 2009. It could bring Heaven Luck as well as indirect
Wealth Luck. Yes, you could strike the lottery or four-digit if you are
lucky. A little secret: the best months would be July, March, April,
May, December and January of the following year.
If
this is also the Wealth Spot of your house, the star could also bring
you Good Wealth Luck in 2009. You must activate Wealth Luck with a fish
pond or water feature. Remember that south-west is also the direction
of the Indirect Spirit of Period Eight, thus the wealth luck in this
sector in 2009 could be even stronger. Do not miss this opportunity!
For
a house where the south-west does not have a good water star, you could
place a ‘wealth ship’ or gold ingots in this sector of the house to
enhance your wealth luck. You could also place a bowl of water here.
This sector also represents women, so ladies you could have better
wealth luck in 2009.
The
other good sector is the north-west, where the White Star One is
located. This is also a good star; it could bring good Wealth Luck as
well as political luck, more so for men with political aspirations.
This is because the north-west represents the man of the house. Also
expect to see better political stability around the world.
The
north-west is also a metal sector, so place lots of metallic
decorations in this corner to enhance Star One. As Earth produces
metal, you could also place a crystal item in this sector in 2009.
Remember, the more the better. At work, place lots of metal decorations
or white paper (the colour also represents metal) on the north-west
corner of your desk. Of course, the best Feng Shui item in this sector in 2009 will be a dragon tortoise.
The
other good sector is the south though it went through a rather tough
time in 2008, thanks in part to Five Yellow in this sector. But do not
worry – good luck is coming your way. This is good news for those whose
house faces south or was born in the Year of the Horse.
How
this affects one’s luck for 2009 will have the Romance Star and
Education Star Four in the south to thank for 2009. Star Four can bring
about romance as well as education luck. For those who are looking for
a partner, place some fresh flowers in water in the south corner of
your house. But for those who are already married, doing so can create
‘external’ romance, which is naturally not welcomed in a husband-wife
relationship. So, if you belong to the latter category, do not place
too much water and definitely no fresh flowers in the south this year.
Instead, place a pair of mandarin ducks in this spot to enhance your
marital relationship.
Those
studying or have school-going children (and especially those sitting
for exams this year), the south sector is very important for you. Try
to study in this sector in 2009. You could also place a globe or pagoda
in the south to enhance your study luck.
For
those seeking a better business year, (more so if you are in the sales
line), the south sector is important too. Place some form of ‘Fire
Energy’ in this sector to enhance sales and human relationship luck.
Knowing your Feng Shui is not merely about worrying whether your year is going to be good or bad. All you would need to do each year is update the Feng Shui of your house, shop or office. Having talked about the good sectors, here is how you can overcome the bad sectors.
The
worst sector for 2009 is the north because the Five Yellow Star is
located here. This could bring misfortune, severe illness, accidents
and loss of wealth, especially to those who have property facing north.
What
you must do in 2009 is to place a Five Element Pagoda in the north
sector. If you are not able to do that, the next best thing is to place
lots of metallic items in the north. Anything metallic that you could
think of is good enough. Remember that you should not place a crystal
in the north. You should also not paint any wall in the north in red,
pink, purple, yellow or beige in 2009. In addition, try not to dig and
cut tress in the north.
Do
note that if your house faces North-east Two and South-west Two (Period
Seven property), and East Two and West Two (Period Eight property), the
north sector could bring severe illness that could be fatal –
especially in the months of March, July, October and December. Try not
to sleep in a room located in the north. If you cannot do that, at
least do not sleep in the room during these months. Otherwise, place a
Five Element pagoda, Six Emperor coins or lots of metallic items in the
room.
The other
bad sector is the west with the presence of Illness Star Two here. This
too could bring illness to those in this sector. You would also need to
place lots of metallic items in the west corner; and if your bedroom is
in the west, be extra careful in the months of April, July, September
and January.
The
Robbery Star is in the East in 2009 and could cause possible break-ins
and robberies through this sector, especially in properties that have
their main or back doors in the east or facing east. You would need to
place a rhino figurine facing the door, or blue rug or water plant in
this sector to elicit some ‘protection’.
Another
bad sector is the north-east. Quarrelsome Star Three is located here in
2009 and could cause misunderstandings and arguments. If a problem
becomes serious, it could also bring about legal problems for you. To
somewhat rectify this situation, place lots of red decorations in this
sector to counter any afflictions. Remember not to place water or
plants here as either could enhance the power of Quarrelsome Star Three.
There
is no doubt that 2009 will be a challenging year. If you refer to
recent financial reports, most of them have said a recession is on the
horizon. There are two things you could do: one is to worry about it
and the other is to be prepared. I believe Feng Shui could
make a difference. If you know how to overcome the bad and enhance the
good, you will be able to enjoy a relatively good year.
I
do not believe property prices will go down. In fact, the prices in
good areas could certainly increase. There will be more construction
and development works in 2009 due to the strong earth element and I
believe this will help other industries and provide the market a boost.
