Gamuda Land’s three townships recently became the shooting site for the first Malaysian season of the popular sitcom, Phua Chu Kang (PCK). The three-month production, which began in December 2008, had 13 episodes of the sitcom shot at Bandar Botanic in Klang, Jade Hills in Kajang and Horizon Hills in Johor Bahru.
“We are happy to collaborate with ntv7 on one of Asia’s famous shows. Gamuda Land and PCK share a common factor, which is construction. Hence, the storyline fits well with us to have Gamuda Land as part of PCK. I’m sure our residents will be ecstatic to see their development featured in PCK when it comes on air,” said Stephen Goh, general manager of Bandar Botanic.
Gamuda Land is the main sponsor of ntv7’s PCK sitcom. According to Goh, the sponsorship programme is part of the company’s initiative to increase the awareness of its townships and showcase the main unique characteristics of its developments to the public.
The PCK sitcom has aired on every Wednesday since 25 March 2009.
