Island & Peninsular Sdn Bhd (I&P) recently signed an MoU with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) through which UiTM would have a platform to showcase works of art and carry out cultural related activities at Alam Impian’s art pavilion and amphitheatre.

Dato Jamaludin, managing director of I&P said: “I&P works with only the best in the field. And UiTM has one of Malaysia’s best Arts and Design Faculties.”

Jamaludin added I&P hopes to continue through UiTM the development of collaborative research or other arts and cultural related programmes that can fully promote ‘Township of the Arts’ theme to the community.

Alam Impian is a 1,235-acre township launched in December 2006 and to be fully completed in 15 years. The township features arts and cultural characteristics in all aspects of the development, from design of the homes and township, to the landscape and special facilities that encourage the growth and appreciation of the arts.

According to Jamaludin, the Canting double-storey terraces being the first phase of Alam Impian homes were handed over in December last year followed by Tinta double-storey semi-Ds in January this year.

“The recent launch of Tinta double-storey semi-Ds are priced from RM633,000 onwards. These units are completed with CF and are fully sold. The partial opening of the LKSA Highway will allow quick access to the Federal Highway and Shah Alam.

“Full completion of the LKSA Highway is scheduled for the second half of the year which will link the township to KESAS Highway and the surrounding areas. Alam Impian residents will not only have a great arts-inspired living environment but now will be truly accessible to major market and business centres of the country,” said Jamaludin.

I&P also ran a ‘Mad about Homes’ Campaign from 18 February to 18 March this year, where future and present buyers of I&P homes would enjoy savings in the form of cash rebates, free stamp duties, legal fees and other purchase incentives worth millons of ringgit. The developer also announced the winners of the ‘Are You The No. 1 Resident?’ contest where six winners walked away with cash totaling RM705,520.
