Besides schools, it is within close proximity to Taipan commercial centre and numerous shopping centres such as Digital Mall (which roofs Carrefour hypermarket), Giant Hypermarket, Mydin Wholesale Hypermarket and The Summit.
USJ 17 is among the last precinct developed by UEP Sime back then. Hence, most houses here are newer compared to the ones in USJ 2, USJ 3, USJ 4 et cetera. However, it is far located near the end of USJ vicinity, nearing Putra Heights, making it a bit isolated from Klang Valley. If you are commuting from Petaling Jaya or Federal Highway, you have to drive another 7km to reach USJ 17 from the highway’s Persiaran Kewajipan exit.
