Mont Kiara Damai is another residential project by the award winning developer, Sunrise, which was completed in July 2004. Mont Kiara Damai was rated 79.3 points by Building and Construction Authority (BCA) of Singapore based on its Construction Assessment System (CONQUAS) for architectural works. Not only that, it was also awarded with Malaysia Property Award 2005 for Best Residential Development awarded by FIABCI.

Sunrise is a very familiar and reputable name in residential and commercial development. It was responsible on most of development projects in Mont Kiara vicinity including Mont Kiara Aman, Mont Kiara Bayu, Mont Kiara Astana, Mont Kiara Sophia, Mont Kiara Pelangi, Laman Suria, and The Residence; as well as on-going 11 Mont Kiara and 10 Mont Kiara. Mont Kiara Damai is the most exclusive residential back then in 2006, even with the mass of new residential developments in the vicinity, it is said that Mont Kiara Damai is still among the top.
