USJ 3 is a residential precinct which is part of the UEP Subang Jaya vicinity. It is sited in between USJ 4, USJ 12, USJ Heights, and SS19. It contains double-storey (20' × 60') houses. For healthcare, there are several medical centres around USJ 3, such as Sime Darby Medical Centre Subang Jaya at SS12 (formerly known as Subang Jaya Medical Centre), Sunway Medical Centre in Sunway and Taipan Medical Centre.

In terms of accessibility, residents of USJ 3 enjoy extensive network of expressways surrounding the area such as Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS), North-Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP), North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE), New Pantai Expressway (NPE) and Federal Highway that connect them to major townships such as Shah Alam, Puchong, Petaling Jaya and the city centre.

Besides roads networks, there is KTM station in SS15, right behind Subang Parade that links to the city centre and further west to Klang. Adding to that, there is going to be a LRT station sits next to it. This is part of LRT rail transit extension which is expected to be completed in 2012.
