Desarina was abandoned with 80% completion since the construction started in 1994. The problems arose as its developer Mega Sakti and together with the main contractor NCK Perumahan Sdn Bhd were in liquidation. And the developer’s holding company Pembinaan Kien Sinar was also folded.
Luckily, after more than 10 years Desarina was abandoned, an agreement has been reached with Syarikat Perumahan Negara to be the main contractor to support the rehabilitation of the project as well as fund substantial amount to its construction
cost.
Desarina is a nice place to stay due to its close proximity to the city centre and established business areas such as Bangsar, Mid Valley City and KL Sentral. So far, quite a number of Japanese expatriates have lived in the condominium, as it is near
to their international school and Japanese Club of Kuala Lumpur. Hopefully, the number of the expatriates will increase further – allowing owners to earn higher yield from these tenants.
