Analysis
A green lung with similar size of KLCC park, the greenery of The Maple is indeed very nicely landscaped, with the quality of finishes are up to par as those in KLCC and Mont Kiara, if not already better. Its facilities and amenities are designed quite beautifully.
On the third level of The Maple, there is a luxurious 25-metre infinity edge cantilevered lap pool overlooking the trees and park. Along with its unique design, this pool is furnished with outdoor beds and special “floating” deck for the touch of class. Well, for the price tag like that, what you paid for is what you get.
All units at The Maple come bare, not even with built-in cabinets nor air conditioners, and even if you plan to seek out for subsale market, you may have found both furnished and unfurnished units as most of the units are not occupied for now.
Accessibility wise, residents of The Maple have a few means of transportation to get around. For drivers, there is Sentul Link, where it links to Jalan Mahameru to Jalan Perhentian, Duta Segambut Highway (an enhanced route set to ease traffic congestion at Jalan Segambut/Jalan Duta roundabout) and DUKE Highway that connects Sentul to SPRINT, Federal North South and Karak Highways.
If you are a walking person, then there is always the Sentul Komuter station with trains to the city center. Not too bad really, providing that you stayed away from the main roads during the peak hours, or you will be stuck in the traffic jam especially caused by the Jalan Segambut/Jalan Duta roundabout.
While Sentul West itself is a beautifully designed development with greenery you can’t get anywhere else in Kuala Lumpur, the sight outside the development remains as Sentul. If you have known the old Sentul, you would understand the stark contrast and differences. Sentul is an aged old area where you can still see the old Chinese “kopitiam” and buildings that are probably older than you.
However, YTL the developer for The Maple, has put in effort to make Sentul West a beautiful, private and nature driven attraction catered for residents who wanted serenity, at the same time live nearer to the city area without burning pockets for KLCC properties.
It was said that Sentul West and East developments have attracted quite a crowd of expatriates, such as shoe couturier Datuk Jimmy Choo, a renowned CNN International anchorwoman, international celebrities and some members of royalty. However, in the future, there will be about 4,000 luxury condominiums and about 20,000 residents in Sentul West. It may get a little crowded in the park then.
